Let them eat cake, (and color their hair purple)

Anyone who knows where I live know that there is a steep road that leads up to our house. On the top of that road there is a T-crossing, where you take right to come to us. Today I met an elderly woman in that "crossing". She had to drive back approximately 1 _ONE_ meter to let me by, but would she? Not a chance. I had to back all the way down to let here by because she apparently could not drive that car in reverse for even one meter. I say, let them eat cake, but keep them away from the roads. To be driving a car, you should be capable of driving a car both ways.

And that is where I stand regarding old women behind the wheel. Let them eat cake.

in defense for the older lady... I think it's usual to have to back when you're driving up the road.. That's because it's more easy for the person who drives up to back down, because of the steep hill, then for the person who drives down to back... sorry.. it might even be an practise (sedvane) considering that it's been done for ages...

hehe.. I promise I'll try not to become an annoying old female attorney.. but all I can do is try.. but you you know that I've got a point, a least when you're in the middle of the road.. but in your defense: if you were just stopping beside the mailbox at the normanns then she shouldn't have any problem backing up the tiny road where she came from.. despite of her age.. If you can't back you shouldn't drive..

you don't have a point. It's flat close to flat where she stopped.
